Ait Benhaddou kasbah
This full-day trip from Marrakech to Ouarzazate & Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou is ideal for those of you who cannot spare more than one day to get a sneak of Tour To Sahara. Visit Ait Benhaddou village (where Star Wars were filmed). UNESCO as one of the world’s cultural treasures has classified the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou. It is studded with crenelated towers and its buildings are decorated with geometrical motifs and is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of this kind in Morocco. A program of restoration work is currently underway to encourage the population of the village, which is at present inhabited by just five families.
Essaouira Excursion
Departure from Marrakech before 8.00 a.m towards the stunning landscapes of the R207 route to the coast. Along the way, we shall stop to see the argan trees where small goats clamber up the low branches and feed. Sometimes there are as many as 20 goats sitting up in one tree. It is a fascinating sight and an absolute must when it comes to getting a photo opportunity. Also along the way we will stop off at a women’s cooperative where argan oil is produced. The oil is extracted from the kernels of the tree and is a delicious accompaniment to a Moroccan bread meal or simply for drizzling over pitta bread. The oil is also used as a beauty product for skin and hair treatment. Our Marrakech to Essaouira day trip arrives in the resort and port city where you’ll see the vast expanse of the North Atlantic Ocean. The vibrant old town (medina) is a world heritage site, and it won’t take you much to realize just why. Old brass cannons line the walls and ramparts protect the sea front from ancient invasions. There are several modern cafes and restaurants in the port city and this up-to-date culture combines with the history of the city very well. You will feel as though you are drifting in a time machine as you move from modern café to a rickety house in the medina in just a few yards.
Ourika valley day trip
Your Ourika valley day trip starts at 09am from your accommodation in Marrakech. After a short drive from Marrakech into the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. We will take the road along the valley of Ourika, then you enter through a succession of clinging mountain villages. stop to see wonderful landscapes full of vibrant colours as we move through the hillsides. Our first stop will be in a traditional house of a Berber family who lives in the valley. The family often open their home to visitors who wish to enjoy their surroundings, the family will offer us tea and serve us their local breakfast which consists of bread, honey, butter and olive oil. Ourika day trip from Marrakech will give you the chance to ride camels for half an hour deeper in the valley. Later on we will continue our tour to reach Setti Fatma, a favorite weekend destination for many Moroccans. Highly appreciated for its beautiful streams and 7 waterfalls, beautiful cliffs, green valleys. You will explore a region which still practice a medieval agricultural tradition. Walk around the valley to take photos of the views of green terraces, surrounding the Atlas mountains, hike with a local guide to the first waterfall. After the hike we go back for lunch in a nice restaurant with a beautiful view over the mountains, lunch will be composed of variety of Moroccan dishes (Vegetarians are welcome). Then we return to Marrakech around 5:00 pm.
Day Tour To Ouzoud Waterfalls
Depart from your hotel or riad in Marrakech direction Ouzoud. The Ouzoud waterfalls (110m) are the highest in North Africa and among the very best things that Morocco has to offer, located about 150 km from the northeast of Marrakech in the Atlas Mountains and which constitute one of the most spectacular natural spots in this region. The surrounding countryside offers red cliffs, olive groves, tamarisk trees, oleander, apes and doves. It has given the visitors the opportunity to see the rural life. Along the road that will take to this attraction, you can treat your eyes by enjoying the beautiful views of the Kasbahs and the olive trees, as well hiking here is so refreshing. You can enjoy the area at any time of year, the hottest season is in months of July and August. Its frostiness refreshes the air around.
There are a few restaurants where you can enjoy your lunch with a view over the waterfalls from their terraces. And a short walk around the valley will bring you to the top of the falls, where you can have the best view of the falls to the bottom. Thus during your trip to Ouzoud, you get the opportunity to be a part of this rich nature in Morocco.
On the road back to Marrakesh via Demnate, we drive 6 kilometres along S508 to Imi-n-Ifri. Imi-n-Ifri is another wonderful place to visit enroute. It is a natural rock bridge formed over a gorge 1.8 million years ago with an underground cave. Later, well watch as the sun paints the mountains with golden color.
